Is there VAT to pay?
NO! VAT has been frozen on all domestic installs until 2027, and on all new complete solar installations.
From February 1st 2024 you can also add batteries to your existing solar PV system VAT FREE!

Do you need planning permission?
In most circumstances on a domestic property, planning permission is not needed unless you live in a listed building or live in a conservation area, were permission can usually be obtained easily.
Planning permission would be required on a non domestic installation.
What size system can we have?
An MCS installer can install a 3.6KW system and inform the Network operator once installed.
Systems of a higher size must have a G99 application form signed off prior to any installation. Please do not be fooled by other installers insisting on installing just a 3.6Kw Inverter to avoid paperwork.
We will handle all the paperwork with the DNO to get you the correct size inverter for the size of your array.
Can I add a battery to my exisiting system?
If you have a grid tied inverter, then you will need a system change to a Hybrid inverter.
System upgrades with a battery start from £4,995 plus VAT.
Do you offer bird protection?
Yes, we can supply and install a 100% bird proof meshing around your panels, prices start from £300 fitted.
What does a service entail?
We will look at everything on your system: the panels and how they have been fitted, test the voltage of the panels to ensure they are working, Clean the equipment, check and test all the AC system amongst a range of other tests.
We also provide a sheet on completion and will quote for a any remedial works required.
How much is a service?
A domestic PV service is £150 plus VAT.
I have solar installed but i know nothing about it?
This is where we can come and give you a report on what you have installed and help with any issues.
Do you clean solar panels?
No we don’t, this can be done by either a specialist company or your local window cleaner might offer this.
