Oak Tree Leisure Centre Mansfield LED lights

This LED light upgrade Mansfield was carried out for Mansfield District Council at Oak Tree Leisure centre.

The first part of the project was to replace every existing light within the building for an LED light fitting. This was part of a cost saving directive on reducing the buildings energy cost and also to reduce its carbon footprint. All of the old metal light fittings were recycled and all the fluorescent light tubes were safely destroyed.

With the changes to LED it also made the building much brighter as we had used much brighter lights to make the building feel more lively.

The second part of the project was to improve the gym lights. Previously the lights were very dark and unwelcoming with blue and purple led floodlights. I designed the new lights to be much more brighter and clearer. We installed a number of 6 Foot LED twin light battens across the ceiling.  We also installed energy saving light switches to allow the lights to be turned off more easily when the areas were not in use.

The estimated savings of the building were predicted at just over £4000 per year in electricity!
